Doug Drinkwater

I have three grown-up children. In my spare time I like to relax with friends. I also have many sporting interests including running for charity, Judo and Karate in which I hold black belts.

I have been a driving instructor for over 30 years and in that time, I’ve taught hundreds of people, from all walks of life, who have gone on to pass their tests successfully. In addition to that, I also train others to become driving instructors, which has resulted in over 30 ADI`s through their exams.

As part of my own training I have passed four advanced driving tests. One of these is the ‘Cardington Grade A’, which is considered to be the hardest civilian driving test and only open to driving instructors.

My main goal in life is to teach people of all abilities to be safe and confident drivers and create a relaxed calm learning environment. You never get bored of the thrill of hearing another student has passed!

I drive a White Hyundia i30 registration number HK 17 FMY so you know what to look out for.

Have a read of a couple of my reviews:

Doug was an excellent teacher and I felt very prepared for my final exam. The car is super easy to learn in too, which is a big bonus. Matt

Big thanks to Doug for helping me pass my test first time in the difficult times we’ve been living in. Always calm, patient and on time. Highly recommend for a safe and calm driving experience! Daniel
